THIS IS MNBS
Mark Needham Business Services (MNBS) was founded in 2004 by its director Mark Needham after spending 25 years working in a managerial role within various industries.
At its launch, the company offered two areas of assistance - 'health and safety' and 'employment law'. However, within the first year of operating, Mark found himself concentrating more so on the former discipline as demand for this service grew, finally dropping employment law from the company's list of services in January 2007.
Respect for our clients
Honesty, trust and a deep respect for confidentiality is the basis of excellent relations with all MNBS clients past and present, who include small to medium size local businesses as well as UK-wide company groups, some household names amongst them.
Indeed, Mark still carries out work for some of his very first clients, testimony to his professional competence and ability to help resolve workplace issues regardless of complexity.
MNBS is an award-winning service provider. From hundreds of nominations for the prestigious Tomorrow's Health & Safety Awards 2018 (a record number), MNBS was one of just 50 companies to reach the finals. Subsequent voting placed MNBS in the UK Top 10 overall (beating, incidentally, ALL other health and safety consultancies nominated) - recognition of Mark's help in achieving a high standard of safety compliance for his clients.
Mark is a member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), joining in June 2006. He also became an Associate Member of the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management (IIRSM) in September 2016.
Mark attends various courses and sits examinations each year to ensure he remains competent i.e. having the specific training and experience, or knowledge, or other qualities, to enable him to carry out the work properly. He holds (among others) NEBOSH, IOSH, CITB, CIEH, FPA, RoSPA and UKATA qualifications, as well as being a qualified first aider.
An integral part of implementing any safe system of work successfully is the provision of training supported by effective communication and information. To this extent, Mark has successfully completed a comprehensive national teacher training course (City & Guilds 7302 Level 3 Certificate in Delivering Learning) qualifying him to teach in the workplace and at Further Education level.
MNBS is SSiP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) registered (Safety Management Advisory Services (SMAS) accredited).
